Outreach and Gang Prevention Specialist

Full-time, 40 hours/wk. High School graduate or equivalent required; AA or BA preferred. Under direct supervision of the Director of Juvenile Justice Services, the Outreach and Gang Prevention Specialist wil be resonsible for outreach services to groups and provide community coordination of services with schools, law enforcement and other local youth services providers. Demonstrates knowledge of outreach methods, interviewing and assessment techniques, and provision of emergency services and referrals. Bilingual English/Spanish and knowledge of gang related issues and bicultural factors related to the Latino and/or Samoan population. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Must be computer literate.
