North County Lifeline announces the appointment of Jim Goethel as Director of Juvenile Justice Services.
Jim is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities from the University of California, Irvine, and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from National University. He is currently an adjunct faculty member in the Undergraduate Psychology department at Argosy University.

In conjunction with Serv-a-thon, a county-wide weekend of service put on by Volunteer San Diego, North County Lifeline will be partnering with Oceanside Glasstile to collect, sort and distribute school supplies to Lifeline youth through a service project entitled Stock the School Bus.

Vista Unified School District - Project Outreach |

Official reports show that there are currently more than 2,500 homeless students in the Vista Unified School District. That's about 10% of Vista's overall student population. Up from just 270 in 2007, the homeless student population has more than quadrupled in the past three years. When asked for the cause behind this dramatic increase, district officials point to unemployment, home foreclosures, and the poor economy as primary culprits.

In early 2006 Rosalio was referred to North County Lifeline by Vista High School for counseling services in the EPSDT program. He was non-compliant at home and school, disruptive in class, and quickly fell into a pattern of chronic absences and suspensions.

Youth Art Exhibit and Auction Wows Supporters!
On the evening of May 20th, Oceanside's Linksoul gallery was abuzz with excitement. Walking through the venue, guests responded to the energetic artwork and youthful vibe with a resounding "wow." The artists behind the photographs and paintings on display were indeed very "now."
