FAMILY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
"A partnership that focuses on the strengths of the family/individual to develop their personal path to self reliance."
The Family Development Program provides intensive and customized case management services to a diverse population of families, couples, and individuals. This partnership is an ongoing process built upon respect.
The family/individual, with the guidance of their Life Coach, determines what changes will improve their quality of life with an emphasis on employment and creates a plan of action to achieve those changes.
This self-directed plan uses the strengths of the family/individual to move forward in their journey toward their employment. Each plan is structured to find the best solutions, and community resources are used as necessary to attain the desired outcome. The purpose of the program is long-term growth rather than emergency-based assistance.

The CENTRO Program, located in Vista and operated by Community Housing Works, provides transitional housing for 20 formerly homeless families. CENTRO assists families to achieve self-sufficiency and stability, and to secure permanent, affordable housing upon program graduation.
The program provides families with up to 24 months of housing assistance, allowing the opportunity to increase skills, partly through family participation in Lifeline's case management program. The case management process respects a family's ability to make wise choices and solve problems, and supports and guides the family towards greater self-sufficiency.
Lifeline also provides the CENTRO Program with client outreach and assessment, case management, emergency assistance, landlord/tenant mediation, legal assistance, mental health counseling, dispute resolution, life skills classes, parenting classes, and more.
