Volunteer Program
Mission Statement:
To offer interested and qualified individuals the opportunity to be
part of North County Lifeline's community services through placement in
supporting volunteer roles that best utilize their skills and support the
agency's services. |
Volunteering is an excellent way to utilize current expertise, build new skills,
interact with the community, and make a difference. Lifeline provides many
opportunities for community members to be involved in the ongoing services of
the agency. Schedules and commitments are flexible. Lifeline's fun,
friendly staff will make your volunteering experience a pleasure.
ONGOING VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES...

Research outreach and community partnership opportunities |
 |
Complete crucial data entry projects |
 |
Translate agency documents between English and Spanish |
 |
File, organize, and restock departmental forms and files |
 |
Provide legal consultation (attorneys only) |
 |
Bachelor and Master level internships in counseling and social work |
SEASONAL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES...
After School Programs
 |
Provide middle school students with a positive role model |
 |
Teach arts and crafts, sports, or other activities/hobbies of interest |
 |
Tutor students needing academic assistance |
 |
Programs run August through June with a one-semester minimum commitment |
 |
Background check, drug screening, TB test, and fingerprinting required |
BE AN "ON-CALL" VOLUNTEER:
 |
Put your name or
your group's name on a call list for short-term projects with an immediate need
|
 |
Volunteer or
volunteer group chooses to accept or pass on each project
|
 |
Project examples:
special event planning, periodic mass mailings, fundraising efforts, temporary
clerical assistance, copying and restocking projects, typing need,
interpretation or translation need, clean-up days
|
VOLUNTEER YOUR GROUP, COMPANY, OR
ORGANIZATION:

Adopt a
beautification project in order to make Lifeline more comfortable for clients
and the community
|

Adopt a particular
program or component
|
 |
Collect donations
of personal and/or food items for Lifeline clients
|
 |
Become an
"on-call" volunteer group
|
Lifeline accepts youth and adult court and school-mandated community service
workers. To arrange for completion of required hours at Lifeline, contact
