Adopt-A-Family Admin & Community Relations Intern

Purpose:
This position is designed to support the Volunteer Program with various administrative tasks for the Adopt-A-Family program. During the months of September-January, this volunteer will collaborate with staff to help families “get adopted” during the holidays and also recognize and steward the donors that sponsor them.
 
Worksite:  mostly remote with some  travel to North County Lifeline’s Vista Campus (200 Michigan Ave, Vista, CA, 92084)

Specific Activities
  • Assist in coordinating annual holiday donation campaign ”Adopt-A-Family” with Volunteer Program team
    • From planning stage, to implementation, and conclusion
  • Process family “wish lists” (the paperwork that families complete to participate in the Adopt-A-Family program)
    • Review wish lists for grammar and inconsistencies before sending them to prospective donors
  • Communicate with Lifeline staff to ensure wish lists and processes are being completed efficiently and accurately
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with the staff, volunteers, and donors
    • Expand stewardship plan to ensure volunteers and donors are being recognized in a timely and meaningful way
  • Clerical/administrative duties including but not limited to:
    • Data entry (into Excel and database), quality control, filing, monitoring inventory, etc.
