Lead Clinician-VIVA

VIVA Counseling is an outpatient child, youth and family therapy program that is part of Lifeline Community Services. The Lead Clinician serves both in a clinical and leadership role. The position provides individual, family and group therapy to youth up to age 20 and their families, both in person and via Zoom. The Lead Clinician also serves an important role as team’s primary trainer of clinical documentation and administrative processes. If you have experience with Medi-Cal documentation, are highly organized and enjoy coaching others, this position is a great opportunity to get leadership experience while still serving clients. All clinicians receive supervision and associates earn hours towards BBS licensure. Specific Activities
Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Conducts Behavioral Health Assessment and implements treatment plans.
  • Provides individual, family and group counseling, as well as crisis management.
  • Provides case coordination with other professionals including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, psychologists, IEP coordinators, schools, social workers, etc
  • Provides onboarding training to new staff on clinical documentation and administrative processes.
  • Reviews clinical charts and provides coaching and feedback to both masters-level and bachelors-level staff.
  • Attends Quality Improvement meetings and leads the team in implementing new documentation standards.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
Masters Degree in counseling, social work or related field, and BBS-registered AMFT, LMFT, ACSW, LCSW, APCC or LPCC.
Experience with CCBH (Cerner) EHR preferred, but will consider candidate with experience in other EHRs.
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required. Bilingual pay available.

Other Requirements
Reliable transportation. Must have a California driver license and good driving record. Willing to use own, properly insured, reliable vehicle for the job (mileage reimbursed). Employment subject to clearances, including background finger printing checks, driving record, tuberculosis testing, and drug testing

Pay Range Salary will commensurate with experience and education. Differential pay offered for bilingual skills. EEO
