Parent Partner- Project LIFE
Under the supervision of the Project Life Program Associate Director, is responsible for providing supportive services to survivors of human trafficking through a client driven wellness and recovery model that is strength based, culturally relevant, trauma informed, consumer driven, and outcome based. Provision of in-home, on-site, community-based and/or virtual supportive services to human trafficking survivors that are pregnant or parenting and meet eligibility criteria for participation. Supportive services are determined based on the individualized needs of the family and focus on parenting and family reunification and are geared toward the successful completion of their case plan goals through connection to in-house services and/or referral to local community resources to improve family functioning and support whole-family approach. Facilitate parenting-related program activities and use their lived experience to inform interactions and maximize client engagement and retention. Integrates appropriate self-disclosure of their personal journey into supportive services to empower and move survivors toward self-actualization. Participates in focus groups for survivors to improve integration of survivor voice into policy development and design.
- Provide ongoing support for Project LIFE human trafficking survivors who are pregnant and parenting and may benefit from supportive services to improve parenting practices and contribute to successful reunification with child and/or children.
- Screen for project eligibility and conduct assessments to determine survivors’ parenting needs.
- Work in unison with the Clinical Case Manager to assist with case plan development and implementation of supportive services geared toward parenting and/or family reunification with an emphasis on a whole-family approach
- Facilitate program orientation to eligible survivors and participate in client-centered case plans that integrate parenting education and skills-based training to improve survivors’ implementation of healthy parenting strategies and/or increase likelihood toward successful case plan completion and reunification.
- Identify survivor needs and provide appropriate referral, linkage and accompaniment to parenting resources and/or other necessary resources that may have influence over successful case plan completion.
- Liaise and collaborate with the Community Services for Families program to ensure successful referral and that the survivor has sufficient support whilst navigating services within system of care
- Will provide positive parenting activities individual or via group setting (virtually, as needed) that will demonstrate ways to build and sustain healthy parenting.
- Co-facilitate a parenting support group
- Assist with linkage to child development activities and childcare for survivors’ children
- Communicates regularly with clinical team regarding the family’s progress; immediately contacts Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Case Manager if any significant concerns arise.
- Participates in training and assumes role of mandated reporter.
- Provide outreach to at-risk populations to increase identification of domestic victims of sex and labor trafficking
- Remains culturally sensitive and respectful in all client and staff interactions.
- Maintains detailed case file documentation utilizing approved forms and formats.
- Completes comprehensive Project LIFE core human trafficking orientation and training
- Participates in staff meetings, supervision, training programs, and other meetings in accordance with Lifeline and/or funder requirements.
- May participate in trainings for service providers and community partners on effective identification, assessment, trauma-informed service delivery strategies, and referral.

Salary: DOE- + $0.58 bilingual pay (if applicable)
Monday- Friday (may include evening & weekend hours, as needed)
